Activity Topic - The exposure visit was made to see utilization of the straw or straw handling machinery and their production process. Zero till drill or seed cum fertilizer planter with herbicide applicator etc were shown to the farmers. The visit followed by a pilot pellet/briquetting plant, it consisted of straw chaffing unit, straw conveyer and briquetting machine. The briquettes produced in the plant and its economics were briefed. Pilot scale briquetting plant, motorized briquetting machine and tractor PTO operated mobile briquetting machine were exposed to the farmers. Biochar making machine were also demonstrated.
