Activity Topic - The group of farmers was exposed to the straw collection and bailing machine. It is operated by tractor PTO. This machine was attached with the urea application unit. To utilize the straw judiciously and making the rice straw suitable for animal feed use of this machine will facilities the farmers on utilization of rice straw. A straw loader was also demonstrated to the farmers for collection of the straw after threshing of the paddy, soybean and wheat. The straw can directly be loaded in the tractor trolley with the help of straw loader. The straw chaffer cum loader developed by ICAR-CIAE Bhopal was shown to the group of farmers. This machine can be utilized after harvesting of wheat or rice for cutting and collection of straw from harvested field. This machine cuts and chaff the straw and load in the tractor trolley and can be unloaded in the yard or briquetting plants.
